Marianne Majerus, in Clervaux geboren, studierte zunächst englische Literatur, dann Wirtschaftswissenschaften in Großbritannien. Nach ersten erfolgreichen Projekten als Landschafts- und Porträtfotografin spezialisierte sie sich auf die Garten- und Pflanzenfotografie.
Ihr Talent und ihr Ruf verschafften ihr Zugang zu vielen der bemerkenswertesten Privatgärten in Europa und darüber hinaus. Sie ist die einzige Fotografin, die mehr als fünfzig Bücher in Großbritannien, Europa und den USA veröffentlicht hat. Ihre Arbeiten werden regelmäßig in den wichtigsten Gartenzeitschriften veröffentlicht und wurden mit Preisen wie dem International Garden Photographer of the Year (2010), British Garden Photographer of the Year (2002, 2011) und European Garden Photographer of the Year (2018, 2023) ausgezeichnet.
