The Robin
Edward Hurlock no longer quite knows his place in the world. After tragically losing his mother at a young age, he has grown estranged from his father and brother. Only his grandfather remains a source of familial trust and affection. His studies in Nottingham, too, are beginning to seem meaningless to him when his life is once again upended by tragedy.
In another place – perhaps at a different time – a nameless young man is tasked with accomplishing a mission set for him by the prophet of his village: to reach the summit of the highest mountain in the region, thereby proving himself a man. Amidst hostile nature and beset by utter loneliness, he attempts to accomplish what seems plainly impossible. And yet, is the nameless young
man truly all alone?
As Edward embarks on a journey that increasingly becomes one of self-discovery, and the nameless young man continues to draw ever closer to the summit despite all obstacles, the paths of the two protagonists seem to become more and more intertwined, while existential questions loom ever larger.
